Based on the response to our previous job posting, we have had good response and we have extended offer to 3 Engineers. We are having some more openings and I will be shortly posting the new requirements. With regard to this posting, though the skill requirement is same as the previous opening, I am refining the experience level.
Responsiblities:
As a member of the Unified Messaging Product Development team, your primary responsibilities will include participation in the design and development of a large-scale, distributed tier-1 telecom platform, including application servers, media servers, call control gateways and interfaces to backend database servers. Using good software development practices and solid C/C++ experience from prior projects, you are expected to quickly develop an understanding of existing products, then use available and emerging technologies to develop, scalable and performance sensitive applications. Previous development experience on telecom appliances and telephony applications is a great plus.
You will be closely working with a highly skilled On-Site team
Criteria:
- Strong background in C/C++
- Object Oriented Programming concepts and implementation.
- Development and testing experience on distributed software systems, preferably on Solaris or Linux
- Good understanding of inter-process communication, multi-threading, real-time processing
- Experience using debuggers and Makefiles
- Basic shell command/scripting skill
- Experience in telephony applications and concepts is a great plus
- Exposure to SNMP, MySQL or Oracle database administration is added advantage
